The Divine Principle is the main theological textbook of the Unification Church written by the founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon. The Divine Principle is an expression of truth which is universal; it inherits and builds upon core truths which God revealed through the Jewish and Christian scriptures and encompasses the profound wisdom of the Orient. Core sections include God’s purpose in creating human beings, the fall of man, and redemption – the process through history by which God is working to remove the disastrous effects of the fall and restore humanity back to the relationship and position that God originally intended.
Reverend Sun Myung Moon's autobiography shares stories of his family and childhood and his calling from God. The early years of the Unification Church, the expansion to an international ministry, and the importance of global wedding ceremonies are all explained in first-hand accounts. Rev. Moon's love for nature, his deep respect for all people, and his single-minded determination to see God's ideal realized are central themes in As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen.
Mother Moon’s journey as a religious woman leader is breathtaking: Born in Japanese-occupied Korea in 1943, she spent her early life in nature so she could commune with God. War forced her to flee south with her mother and grandmother; they crossed the Han River Bridge minutes before it was blown up. Later, she walked and worked side-by-side with Father Moon, one of history’s most energetic and visionary men. They visited every corner of the earth and, despite relentless persecution, met with world leaders, including Mikhail Gorbachev and Kim Il Sung, to bring God’s message for them.
